Our latest iOS update is hitting the app store today and we’re thrilled to introduce an updated design and new features that improve your mobile password management experience. With a new look and feel that’s more consistent with recent updates to LastPass, the update offers a more intuitive workflow on your iPhone or iPad as you need to look up passwords or store new bits of information.
Following the addition of a LastPass extension for Chrome for iOS, LastPass for Apple Watch, and updates to LastPass for Android, our newest update to LastPass for iOS is just one more way we’re making mobile password management easier.
When you tap on an entry, a new menu appears with a “view” option that gives you quick read-only access to your login. This is helpful if you want to review the full details of an account at a glance. The “edit” menu is also simplified, with detailed fields now hidden by default so that your site entries are more readable and you can quickly review the data you need as you go about your day. Just tap the password field to copy or show a password so you can retrieve the information you need and be on your way.
With a simplified navigation bar at the top of the vault, we’ve also added tabbed viewing in the LastPass browser. Just tap the Tabs icon at the top right to view your open tabs, just like you would in Safari.
The Settings menu is now top-level for easier access and management of your security options, with a simplification of the submenus so you can more quickly leave feedback, rate the app, and update your preferences. The login and unlock pages have also been updated with a cleaner, more intuitive design.
New Design Touches
When you login to the updated app, you’ll immediately notice several visual design updates. Consistent with our recent update to the LastPass for Android app, the new design features easier navigation and a simpler design built for using a password manager app on the go.
