How to Recover Your Peacock Password

Shireen StephensonPublishedApril 09, 2025

Forgot your Peacock TV password and need to reset it? If you use the streaming service regularly, you know there’s nothing more frustrating than forgetting your password.

While you may be able to stream across a variety of devices, your password is still the key that unlocks access to your favorite shows. And with Peacock’s recent mobile-first innovations, there’s a lot to miss once you’re locked out.

So, if you’re faced with yet another failed login attempt, check out our no-fuss method of performing a Peacock password reset below.

Step-by-Step Guide to Resetting Your Peacock TV Account Password

First, you’ll want to navigate to the Peacock “Forgot Password” or reset page at https://www.peacocktv.com/forgot

Enter your email address to receive reset instructions. If you don’t see the reset email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folders. Once you’ve received the email, click on the reset link provided. You’ll be directed to a Peacock page to create your new password.

Make sure that your new Peacock account password is at least 10 characters and uses a mix of upper- and lower-case characters, numbers, and symbols. And that’s it!

Troubleshooting Peacock Login Issues

Still having trouble signing in to your Peacock TV account?

Start by locating your account details so you have that information on hand when contacting Peacock Support.

Locating Your Peacock Account Details

First, you’ll need to know your subscription plan: Do you have Peacock Premium or Premium Plus?

If you have a Peacock subscription via another platform like Roku or Apple TV, sign in to that platform to see your subscription type.

Next, you’ll need the email associated with your Peacock account.

If you’ve forgotten or lost access to that email, try using the Peacock Account Finder tool.

If your login issues persist, we recommend getting in touch with Peacock Support in the following ways:

Chat through direct message on social media

Chat with a live agent from 9:00AM to 1:00AM EST by clicking the “Need Help?” icon at the bottom right corner of the “Contact Us in Customer Service” page

Solving Peacock TV Performance Issues

So, you’ve finally recovered access to your account – only to discover Peacock is experiencing buffering or performance issues.

Here's what you can do when there’s a delay in transmission

  • Disconnect other devices on the same network
  • Stop any simultaneous downloads of gaming or video content
  • Make sure you have a minimum internet speed of 3.0 Mbps and at least 8.0 Mbps for streaming live events

And regardless of the device you’re using -- Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android, iPhone, Microsoft Edge, Amazon Fire TV -- rebooting or restarting your device can often resolve performance issues.

Other options you can try:

  • Check for system updates in Settings and install them if available.
  • Remove and reinstall the Peacock TV app on your device.
  • Clear the Peacock app cache to remove any corrupted data. On your device, navigate to Settings and select the Peacock app. Generally, you’ll want to look for an option like “Clear storage” under “Manage app” or “Clear cache” under "Storage & Cache.”
