#1 Answers to your top questions about the 2025 RSA Conference (RSAC 2025)
What is RSAC, and why should I attend?
The RSA Conference or RSAC is where “the world talks security.” RSA is both a public-key cryptographic algorithm and the initials of its creators’ surnames: Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, and Leonard Adleman.
RSAC attracts more than 41,000 attendees annually and is a fantastic opportunity to elevate your skills, expand your network, and engage with the brightest minds in cybersecurity.
When is RSAC™ 2025 or what are the 2025 RSA conference dates?
RSAC™ 2025 will take place from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
How do I register for RSAC™ 2025?
To register, you must have an RSAC account. If your account was created prior to September 4, 2024, you must create a new account for RSAC 2025. You can use the same email address for your new RSA Conference login credentials, if desired.
To protect your RSAC 2025 account from unauthorized access, be sure to create a strong password for it. Not sure what makes a strong password in 2025? Check out CISA’s newest password guidelines and then use the free LastPass password generator to instantly customize one for your account.

The Expo pass only grants access to the Exhibit Hall. Attendees who upgrade to Expo Plus will have access to select keynotes, track sessions, networking events, and activities, such as the RSAC™ Sandbox, the RSAC™ Launch Pad, and the CyBEER Ops Networking Reception.
Essentially, Expo Plus offers a more comprehensive conference experience.
Can I attend RSAC™ USA for free?
It’s possible to attend for free under these conditions:
- As a member of the media. Qualified members can register for a complimentary Press Pass, Analyst Pass, or Content Creator Pass.
- As a college student or 2024 graduate on RSAC College Day (May 1, 2025). Students will receive a one-day full Conference pass plus attendance to some exclusive events. To qualify, you must either (1) register using an .edu email address (2) provide a copy of your class schedule with valid student ID or proof of your graduation in 2024.
- As an Expo-only attendant using special invitation codes from RSAC sponsors like DataSunrise
Are there any nearby RSA Conference hotels and do they offer discounted rates?
Yes, RSAC has partnered with onPeak to offer discounted rates at San Francisco hotels. Check out the hotels and rates here. Note that you can only make RSA Conference hotel reservations after completing your registration for RSAC 2025.
What do I need to badge in or enter RSAC 2025?
All RSAC 2025 attendees must wear and display their badges prominently at all times. A government issued photo ID is required to get an RSAC 2025 badge.
Will I get RSA Conference CPE (Continuing Professional Education) units for attending?
Yes. If you’re a member of ISC2, CompTIA, or ISACA, be sure to list your member identification number during registration to receive credits.
#2 This year’s hottest topics and the hidden meaning behind RSAC 2025’s theme
Each year, RSAC chooses a special theme to highlight its significance to information security. For 2025, the theme is “Many Voices. One Community.”
Previous themes have drawn inspiration from notable figures like Edgar Allen Poe and Haruki Murakami. But for 2025, it is 13th Century poet Rumi who speaks to us through his words: “Lamps are different, but light is the same.”
Essentially, Rumi’s theme celebrates the power of collaborative strength in creating a unified force against shared threats.
And if you’re still on the fence about attending, the 2025 RSA Conference agenda is groundbreaking, packed with actionable strategies to harness cutting-edge technologies against emerging threats.
There will be 435+ sessions at RSAC 2025, with a strong emphasis on:
- Identity Security (332 sessions)
- AI innovations and AI-enabled attack techniques (159 sessions)
- Critical infrastructure protection (101 sessions)
- Secure by Design cyber resilience (64 sessions)
- Zero Trust security strategies (46 sessions)
With 80% of attacks involving compromised credentials and hackers leveraging AI to automate credential-based attacks, identity has become the new cybersecurity battleground. So, it’s no surprise RSAC 2025 is prioritizing identity security and AI-related topics.
Making sure identity access management (and data) is locked down given these “crown jewels” are increasingly under threat. Credentials, particularly usernames and passwords, are among the most sought-after assets because they serve as the gateway to a person’s or organization’s sensitive data. Researchers found a threefold increase in credential stealing between 2023 and 2024, with more than 11.3 million thefts last year. This is especially significant given the large amount of credentials readily available on the dark web, thanks in part to the rise of infostealer malware. - Stephanie Schneider, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, LastPass
Sessions on both topics are slated to focus on:
- Disrupting attacks at multiple stages of the cyber kill chain
- Balancing AI innovation with caution (“sustainable AI”)
- Addressing the risks associated with unmanaged AI (“shadow AI”)
- Defending against identity-based threats while preserving user privacy and trust
- Exploring the role of LLMs in deepfake generation and malware attacks and using effective countermeasures like agentic AI to counter these threats
