Today we're excited to announce the new and improved LastPass experience, which we’ll be rolling out to users throughout the summer. This new look and structure gives you easy access to your digital life so you can store, fill, and share a wider variety of information faster than ever. With the new LastPass, you'll be more productive—and more in control.
Save, Fill, and Share Everything
A key goal for the new LastPass is to make all your information—credit cards, addresses, notes, and the rest—easier to capture, use, and share with others. In other words, everything in your vault should behave like a password. That means you can capture them as you go, fill where you need to, and share with friends, family, and coworkers. For our existing users, it’s a very familiar experience, but we’ve added some design and functionality improvements that make LastPass more intuitive and easier to use. Anything in your vault that LastPass can fill—passwords, financial information, and contact details—will be available from the in-field menus and the LastPass extension. The key difference is that you’re in control of which data we fill on the page for you. For example, if you’re paying a bill online that has options for a bank account transfer or a credit card payment, you can pick which of those you want us to fill, rather than filling in both. We’ve always let you store non-password items in LastPass through our Secure Notes feature, and now the new LastPass brings them into view wherever you need them, too.

Built for Speed and Simplicity
LastPass sports a new look across the board. Whether you’re using our in-field icon or our Android app, vault items will be presented in the same modern way, everywhere. We spent hundreds of hours talking with users and testing these new designs, and we’re confident they’ll help you find your vault items faster and with less effort. We also heard loud and clear that you wanted a denser vault, so the new LastPass vault will feature a denser grid view, as well as two list views— "comfortable" and "compact." We’ll be posting follow-up articles to dive deeper into all the changes, but we wanted to call out a few today that we think you’ll especially enjoy. The updated in-field menu gives you one-click access to copying data or editing an item. The extension dropdown puts all your fillable items for a given page right at the top of the menu, saving you lots of time and extra clicking.
When can you get your hands on the new LastPass?
We'll be rolling this experience out to new and current customers throughout the summer. The updates will happen automatically; no action is needed. For LastPass Teams and Enterprise users, you will be seeing these changes in the fall. In the meantime, we’ll be contacting admins and providing them with everything they’ll need to be prepared for the update. We designed the new LastPass for all our customers, and we think it’ll make it much easier for employees to get up and running with LastPass. When your employees and teammates love their password manager, better security becomes second nature, and your business is safer for it. Finally, we are not offering a way to revert back or opt out of the new LastPass. In an effort to provide the best service possible to all of our users, we are committing to a single, unified LastPass experience. This will make it easier for us to issue regular updates for usability and security, so you’ll always have the best of what LastPass has to offer.
