We know how important it is to get into your mobile accounts quickly and securely. Whether you’re logging in, paying online, or filling out forms, you want a fast and seamless process — all without the hassle of typing long, complex credentials on a tiny keyboard (no squinting required).
That’s why we’re excited to share new autofill improvements coming to both iOS and Android designed to save you time and reduce friction.
iOS: Fill Any Item and Autofill TOTP
Starting December 2025, iOS customers will see two major improvements to autofill: Fill Any Item and Autofill TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password).
Fill Any Item
Apple recently expanded access to a native feature that lets password manager users long‑press a text field to bring up an autofill menu. Until now, LastPass wasn’t compatible with this feature. Everything still worked through our existing autofill flows, but the native shortcut wasn’t supported (if you tried it, you saw an “Autofill Unavailable” message).
That all changes with our new Fill Any Item release. Now, when you long‑press on a login field, LastPass will support the native autofill menu. Even better, you’ll be able to autofill items beyond passwords, like addresses and payment cards.
LastPass will automatically toggle you back and forth as you fill each required field instead of making you copy‑paste card details field by field. And if Apple doesn’t detect the login field correctly, just long‑press, select autofill, and LastPass takes care of the rest.
To help you get started, we’ve built a three‑screen “new feature alert” that will pop up the first time you open your vault after release, and again the next time you add a new item. How easy is that?
Autofill TOTP
For the first time, LastPass Business customers will also be able to Autofill TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password). No more opening the app, copying the code, and pasting it manually. Whether you’re using the keyboard or the new long‑press Fill Any Item flow, LastPass will streamline the process so you can log in faster and stay secure.
Android: Add Password and Open Vault
On Android, we’re rolling out two improvements in the coming weeks designed to give you more control right from the autofill context menu.
Add password
Sometimes LastPass doesn’t suggest the right credential because it isn’t yet in your vault. With this update, you’ll be able to manually add a new password in‑context — all without leaving the autofill flow. That means fewer interruptions and more flexibility to capture credentials as you go.
Open vault
We’re also making it easier to jump directly into your vault from the autofill menu. If the suggested credentials don’t match what you need, simply select “Open Vault” to search and choose the right item. No more toggling back and forth between apps, just a streamlined experience that keeps you moving.
A better mobile experience is here
Together, these updates mark a big step forward in making autofill more intuitive and powerful across mobile. Whether you’re an iOS customer excited to fill payment cards with a single long‑press, or an Android user who wants more options when credentials don’t match, LastPass is here to make secure access effortless.
As the mobile landscape evolves, so do we, so stay tuned for more mobile improvements in 2026!
