We're always working to make LastPass better for our users, and we're excited to share what we've been working on with you. Check out our latest round up of newly released features available now, along with what's coming next for LastPass.
Ready for what’s new and next? Let’s get started.
What’s New for LastPass?
Let’s dive into what our LastPass Free, Premium and Business users can use and access right now.
Account Recovery Improvements
We've expanded our Account Recovery options to set up via our web vault. You can now set up Account Recovery via the web vault in addition to the browser extension and/or mobile app – the choice is yours! More account recovery options mean added peace of mind, knowing that you'll always be able to recover your account should you ever forget your Master Password.
Account Recovery improvements also now apply to Families users. Learn more about setting up Account Recovery here.
Save and Fill Improvements on Android
We've rewritten our save and fill functionality on Android to increase reliability and work better on common sites. You'll continue to see this feature improve over time, and we're excited to get these first improvement iterations out the door and in the hands of our users now.
New Onboarding Flow on iOS
For our new users, welcome! We want to make sure you're getting the most out of LastPass, so we've recently launched a brand-new onboarding flow on iOS that'll guide you through critical steps to set up your account properly. These steps include turning on Face ID, adding your first password, generating a password, and more. To get started, download our app and log into LastPass on your iPhone or iPad.
The new onboarding flow on iOS will be coming soon to our Families users.
What’s Next for LastPass?
Let’s look at the feature improvements our LastPass Free, Premium, Families and Business users can expect in the coming months.
Save and Fill Improvements
We're working on improving our user interface and making the entire save and fill experience more intuitive and user-friendly. We'll let you know when we're live, but for a sneak preview of what's to come, you can expect to see prompted saves of credit cards and addresses, a reduction in native browser password interface, disabling Google Password Manager pop-ups, and a new in field experience.
New Onboarding Flow on Web Extension
Like our new onboarding flow on iOS, we're working to also launch on our web extension, so stay tuned.
Generate Password Improvements on iOS
You asked, we listened. This is an improvement request we've heard from you, our users, and we're excited to share that we're in the process of improving our generate password functionality on iOS for a more seamless and easier user experience.
Security Dashboard Updates
Your Security Dashboard will be the sole location to assess password security and monitor your accounts for data breaches. You can view your security score and see a list of weak and/or reused passwords, to improve your score immediately. In the future, all notifications regarding your security score will direct you to the Security Dashboard.
