LastPass has recently announced that LastPass Enterprise now includes Single Sign-On (SSO) with pre-integrated access to over 1,200 applications. With this announcement, LastPass now provides its users with access to both Single Sign-On (SSO) and Enterprise Password Management (EPM) in one solution.
Both SSO and EPM are required for businesses to protect every access point while streamlining employee access to apps and services.
SSO connects employees to key apps while eliminating passwords. SSO relies on SAML, a secure, behind-the-scenes protocol, to authenticate users to cloud, mobile, legacy and on-premise apps, such as Salesforce, Workday, or Slack. Enterprise Password Management (EPM) captures and stores all remaining credentials an employee uses, giving IT control and visibility without the added work of integrations and approvals.
In our most recent Master Class, we showed exactly how SSO functionality can complement Enterprise Password Management to create a centralized access experience for end-users and a unified view for IT admins.
Specifically, this Master Class covered:
- How SSO and EPM can join forces to create a user-friendly access experience
- Tips for configuring your SSO and EPM policies to fit the needs of your organization
- Step-by-step guide to adding your first SSO application
