Survey Shows Top Security Concerns for IT Teams

LastPassJune 05, 2018
One of the largest security trends that has grown in prominence throughout 2018 is endpoint management. It’s not hard to see why when you consider all the threats that IT teams need to address. Our new study shows that on average, IT teams are facing at least 4 security concerns, from both internal and external sources. No wonder endpoint management is necessary. In our latest research study Uncovering the Harsh Realities of Endpoint Management, we surveyed 1,000 IT professionals across North America and Europe about the security landscape. Malware topped the list of security concerns, followed by ransomware and employee behavior. It’s not surprising that malware and ransomware are on the top of the list after the biggest ransomware attack in history (WannaCry) and two security vulnerabilities (Spectre and Meltdown). Poor employee behavior is also a huge risk that we are glad is on IT teams’ radar. This ties into our world of password management directly. Your employees’ password habits are your first line of defense against breaches – so if they are using weak or reused passwords you’re at risk. You need to give your employees the tools and education to have good security habits – like a password manager. Curious about additional market trends and business threats driving the need to make endpoint management and improved employee behavior a priority? Check out the infographic below.
