Resolutions Recap: Share Your Feedback!

Over the course of the last 6 weeks we've shared 10 "New Year's Resolutions with LastPass" posts, detailing how you can improve your security with LastPass this year and get the most out of what our password manager has to offer.

  2. Generally these tips are prudent and the posts helpful. I just don't get the point of nr. 5 and I posted a comment about it:

  4. SMS authentication (at-least for premium accounts) like google's 2 step verification would be very useful.

  5. I would be nice if you read the comments on the previous entries and then respond to any questions people have.

    I know I asked a question that has yet to be answered about how "remove duplicates" actually handles that removal. The only follow up I got was another reader saying they would be interested in the answer as well. Q was asked on http://blog.lastpass.com/2012/01/new-years-resolutions-with-lastpass-2.html

    I don't know if there were additional questions people had but I know that my question has gone unanswered so you should really start there (sorry if I seem a little miffed, this post seems a bit slap in the face since you're asking for people's questions when I have in fact already asked one.)

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Hilary, I apologize that we did not yet reply to your previous question.

      The deduplicator looks for exact matches of URL, username, password, and notes - essentially, the site entry must be an exact match, or LastPass won't identify it as a duplicate. Entries may be "duplicates" but not exact copies, in which case you'll need to manually sort and remove them.

      We're certainly happy to address any further questions or comments.

  6. The pace of the posts was good: you kept the tempo up but you didn't inundate. Any longer than three to four days between posts and the momentum would have been lost but any less than that would have been overwhelming. The truth is, with 335 online accounts, I am still sorting though the details of #3.

    By the tenth tutorial my interest was waning. The subject matter was new to me and ten is a lot for a n00b. However, having said that, these posts caused me to move "learning how to use lastpass" to the top of my to-do list because I wanted to follow along. Your posts moved me to act.

    Job well done.

  8. Overall, they were helpful. Several of the suggestions I had already implemented, so they weren't useful to me, personally, but because I have already done them, I had to agree that they were good suggestions and would be useful for others.

  10. I have Last Pass installed, however we find it hard to use. We are older digitally challenged folks. I tried it for a while and had some success, however the wife found it very hard to enter any site.

  11. I have a bank account which has, a couple of times, been logged in with lastpass; however, almost always I must log in manually, both my user name and password.

    It's TD Bank, and when either string is input, only dots show up to indicate a character.

  12. What about a feature which allows the user to require a particular browser for a particular site.

  13. I miss the auto-entry feature from Xmarks. In fact, if I could, I'd revert to that password system. Since you own it, is there any chance of doing that?

    The feature I miss most is the simplicity of starting to enter an ID or password in the appropriate box and having the software automatically filling in the rest for me. It's not much trouble to move the mouse, find the right entry, and then click it then pick out the right alternative and click to "automatically" fill in the ID and password. But, you see what I mean?

  14. As a new user I found these posts helpful. I stumbled across #2 when googling on how to do something shortly after installing, and read through them all. It was much more pleasant as a new user to read these blog posts than muddle through the potentially overwhelming user manual right off the bat.
