Safari extension updated, full 64-bit Snow Leopard support

The LastPass Safari extension has been updated with full 64-bit (and 32-bit) Snow Leopard support. It also fixes a number of issues and improves the installer process to restart Safari for you.

To download go to: https://lastpass.com/lpsafari.pkg

In other news, we've been waiting nearly 8 weeks for Apple to get on with the business of approving our iPhone update with a minor amount of back and forth in that time. We feel terrible that a semi-broken version of LastPass for iPhone is out there and that we have no way to getting it fixed for our customers. Our apologies, our hands are really tied because Apple also limits us to 100 beta testers for the entire year.

Google Chrome extension is really starting to take shape, our first alpha release is measured in single digit days at this point...

Its not working for me, but when I reinstalled the older version of the extension it worked again

It doesn't work for me either, no error msg, no button to click and I can't even find it in the installed plugins list.

BTW, my version is 10.6.1.

Please give it another shot -- there was a potential issue that might have come into play here

I've tried again, installing over the old 32bit version and still nothing shows when running in 64bit mode.

Can you try https://lastpass.com/lpsafari_debug.pkg and send us what's printed to the console (Applications -> Utilities -> Console)

There's a lot of lastpass lines, (too many for comments system and seems to error on some tags). No obvious errors;

17/09/2009 16:32:42 Safari[12384] [LastPass] LastPass Loaded: Found an application that LastPass should plugin to, starting up LastPass CMController
17/09/2009 16:32:42 Safari[12384] [LastPass] initWithApplications

17/09/2009 16:32:42 Safari[12384] [LastPass] applicationDidFinishLaunching, now autologin startup..

I can mail log somewhere if it helps?

Yes, please send them to support@lastpass.com those messages would seem to indicate things are working, at least initially.

No problem, now sent. The issue seems to be the icon not showing, looking at the console (no errors standing out).

Thanks for your help on email Joe.

To others having the same problem, for me it seems that the 32bit one inserts the icon automatically whereas (on my SL), it needs adding on 64bit.

"right click on the toolbar and hit 'Customize'"

I got the exact same problem, but unfortunately, I can't find the icon in the customize menu either :(

I am interested in trying out the Google Chrome Alpha version of LastPass. Can you tell me where I can download it (and how to install it) please?

Thanks!!!

We are hoping to have an alpha version available sometime this week, keep an eye on the blog for the details.

Did anyone get it working? I still cannot get the lastpass working on SL 64bit. No lastpass icon in customize toolbar window too.

Please help. Installing the previous version puts the icon back, but it has a security issue, it does not time out and ask for your password at browser start.
